2. Try to determine how deep the bird has gotten into the vent. It may be just beyond the vent cover, inside the vent tube or somewhere farther into the ductwork.
3. Remove the exterior cover of your dryer vent. In the case of flapper vent covers, birds often enter when flappers are open but then get trapped when they close. Once the cover is removed, the bird may just fly out on its own.
